Recently, a great feature from facebook that allows you to promote your own pages on other sites, has been gaining popularity. It’s a really simple concept for branding – promote as much as you can and anywhere you can. Using this simple facebook wizard, you can expand your social network in just a few minutes with just a few lines of code.
A few days ago, I ordered a new business card scanner made by PenPower. After opening the box, I was really surprised by a few great features. Inside the already hand-sized box was an even tinier smooth-surfaced box with cool lights and a sleek design. When I scanned a card for the first time, the image automatically converted to text (phone, addresses, names etc.) and it did a great job. But after a few more attempts, I was really disappointed by the absence of a major basic feature–there was no way to save images! Plus, thicker cards would just get stuck and need extra help going through the scanner. I hope one day these issues will be resolved.
The “Scanner”
A couple of weeks ago I took some time to create a simple Facebook company page for My Bank Tracker. I wasn’t satisfied with the busy “wall” where things looked messy and complicated. So I went ahead and created a custom landing page. It wasn’t as easy and straightforward as I thought it would be so I decided to write a post about it. You can see the end results here:
